We ban the spammers by their IP (Internet protocol) address. (An IP would look like this 231.17.16.2). You may be inadvertently banned if someone has used your Internet connection to post spam, even if they did so with their own computer. Your computer can be used remotely if it was compromised due to lack of security. Thus, if you find yourself banned, it could be because your computer was used by a spammer. You need to clean it up. Send us an email with your handle and your IP address so that we can un-ban you.
