Importance of Kesh

Alright. I wouldnt even mind an essay for this answer. But i REALLY want to know why keeping our kesh is so important in sikhi. I honestly have never understood well enough. Thank you

I am not even a Sikh. But, I think the best answer is that it's Guru's Hukam.

Out of all the things Guru Sahib could have chosen as "Sikh identity", why kesh out of all?

It is a spiritual reason. Only spiritual people will understand it. When someone becomes enlightened enough, it will make sense.
