Yes its a necrocracy but the way you mention they are "only" secretaries implies they have no power and are mere muppets, which i am sure you know is not the case

What you call a religious state can at the most be called a cult, still its not the cult which is causing their alienation, its the insecurity of its "secretaries" and top military officals..


I don't discern any meaningful difference between the word 'cult' and the word 'religion'. The only difference between the two is that the former seems to harbor some negative connotation.

The English dictionary defines a cult as a system of religious veneration directed towards a figure or an object. Who could deny that almost every single religion fits that definition?

A cult state is a religious state. The North Korean state religion, while it cannot be said to be the cause of their alienation, certainly serves to compound it.
