Recommend any refreshing Jatha's?
Hi Panth ji
I have recently been listening to Acappella Jatha and really like there simplistict but beautiful singing of hyms. There are too many artistists in the Gurbani centre so can anyone recommend any Jatha?
Thanks

I recommend:
Bhai Gurdev Singh (Australia)
I am enjoying his presentation in AKJ's New Jersey Samaagam November 2009, the one on Saturday Evening (time 2:20). You can download it. I am also very impressed with his presentation at Parmeshardawar Sahib, Patiala given on 14-11-2009. You can listen to it from the site.
Bhai Gurdev's talent is the best kept secret. Enjoy!

I have enjoyed Kirtan by Jasbir Singh (Paunta Sahib Wale), really outstanding Kirtan.
Goto Proudtobesikh.com,
click on Sikh Shabad Kirtan on the top left,
click on J,
click on #14 Jasbir Singh (Paunta Sahib Wale),
and click on #2 Shabad Kirtan.
There is treasure of Kirtan to sample but let me suggest a starting point. On page 3, listen to Shabad 7, an ode to dhaddi. This is a moving tribute to a dhaddi, at first somewhat difficult to grasp. Jasbir is extremely talented kirtan singer, no doubt.

I am not a fan of breathless chanting during the kirtan but these
videos, particularly the second one, are soul-stirring.
