Did the Gurus create a clear way to sing Shabad?

Did the Gurus give a sort of time speed or taal on how to accompany the music or any kinds on notes that the Shabad had to be sang by. I am asking this because I have seen many Shabads on YouTube that are the same but have been sang differently by different people.
