Purpose of Life

What is the purpose of Life? The Dalai Lama says it is happiness. If happiness is a form of pleasure, pleasure is a form of attachment, so is happiness contradictory with the Sikh way of life?

purpose of life is to re unite with the one you have been separated. it is like a mother child relation. both sides long for it. when the unite that is the greatest happiness. that is mentioned in sggs all over. dalailama also means the same.
