Ludhiana, September 21  Darbar-e-Khalsa Dal, a Sikh organisation, has asked the Government of India to initiate a CBI inquiry into the death of Ishmeet Singh, winner of Star voice of India.

Addressing a gathering at the meeting of the organisation held at local gurdwara Gau Ghat, Jasdeep Singh Kaonke, president of the organisation, said its strange that Prime Minister of India Dr Manmohan Singh is not accepting the demand of a CBI enquiry. Ishmeet Singh had brought laurels for the whole Sikh community.”

Kaonke said Ishmeet’s death was a part of a pre planned deep-rooted conspiracy to stop the rising star from attaining a high position in the musical world of the country. He said the the criminals behind the alleged murder could be brought before the people only through CBI enquiry.

He said they would be forced to agitate against the Government if their demand is not met. He also appealed all the social, religious and the political organisations of the state to come together and urge the government to accept their demand.

Raising conspiracy theories

Raising conspiracy theories is useless but a correct investigation would have been nice...

what proof do they have?

I don't think this reflects well upon the community if we are known for creating agitations and raising conspiracy theories every time something happens to a Sikh. Do they have any proof that Ishmeet Singh Ji's death was more than an accident? If they do, then I would support their cause, if not, I think they are embarassing us by making accusations and focusing their attention this way rather than honoring him in some other way.

what proof do they have?

Whatever the pros and cons of agitation are it is clear that there are some answers needed here. No proof is needed for basic human rights. There was no post mortem in Maldives. Thee was a large brown bruise on his forehead. There was bruising to his chest. his face was swollen. he was a competent swimmer. It is a sin to sit quietly by.
